Hajj in Islam is the pilgrimage of Muslims to the Sacred House of Allah in the holy city of Mecca in a specific season every year,
and it has rituals called the rituals of Hajj, and it is a duty to do It once in a lifetime for every able adult of Muslims.
and it’s considered the fifth pillar of Islam,
as the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said:
“Islam is built on five: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,
establishing prayer, paying zakat, fasting Ramadan, and pilgrimage to the House of those who are able to make a way.”
Hajj conditions:
Hajj to the Sacred House of God has 5 conditions, which are:
- Islam: A non-Muslim is not obligated to perform Hajj, and if he does it, it is not valid.
- Assignment: that the Muslim be a sane adult.
- Freedom: it is not obligatory for a slave who is owned because he is not able, but if he performs Hajj,
it is valid from him, and he must perform the Hajj of Islam after his freedom. - The ability: and it is in the money and the body, that he has money with which he is able to perform Hajj,
and he is also physically healthy and is not unable to perform the rituals.
if the obligated person is unable, neither physically nor with his money, in this case the Hajj is not obligatory for him,
because the condition of ability is not fulfilled. - Presence of a mahram for a woman.
Pillars of Hajj:
-
Ihram:
What is meant by Ihram is the intention to perform ritual rituals, and not to wear the Ihram garment,
because a person may intend to perform rituals, so it is forbidden.
even if he has his shirt and Izaar on him, and he is not forbidden even if he wears the veil and the robe if he did not intend.
-
Standing on Arafat:
The scholars have unanimously agreed that standing at Arafat is a pillar without which Hajj is valid.
-
Tawaf al-Ifadah:
It is also called: Tawaf al-Ziyarah, and it is a pillar by the Book and the Sunnah.
-
Sa’i between Safa and Marwa:
Sa’i between Al-Safa and Al-Marwah must be done seven times, as going from Al-Safa to Al-Marwah is considered
once, and returning from Al-Marwah to Al-Safa is considered once.
And so until the Muslim completes seven circuits, the beginning of which is in Safa and its end at Al-Marwah, and the
saa’i is one of the pillars of Hajj and Umrah.
Hajj duties:
- Ihram from the meeqat for the pilgrim.
- Standing in Arafat until sunset for those who stood during the day.
- Overnight in Muzdalifah until after midnight.
- staying overnight in Mina during the three days of Tashreeq.
- Throwing pebbles in order.
- shaving or shortening.
- farewell of Tawaf.
Hajj rituals:
If the pilgrim arrives at the meeqaat, he has a choice of 3 types of rituals, which are:
1-Enjoy:
It described him as being deprived of the meeqaat for Umrah alone during the months of Hajj, saying when intending
to enter into Ihram: “You must perform Umrah.”
Then he performs the rituals of Umrah, such as Tawaf, running, shaving or shortening everything that was forbidden
to him in Ihram until the eighth day of Dhul Hijjah, which is the day of Tarwiyah.
If it was the eighth day, he entered the state of ihram for Hajj alone and did all his works.
2- Addition and pairing
It described him as being deprived of the Umrah and Hajj together, so he says:
“You will perform the Umrah and theHajj” or he is deprived of the Umrah from the meeqaat,
then the Hajj is entered upon it before he embarks on the Tawaf.
Otherwise, he delays it until after the tawaaf al-ifaadah,
and he does not shave or shorten, and it is not permissible for him to break his ihraam.
3- Individuals:
And it’s that he is forbidden to perform Hajj only, and he says: “You will make a pilgrimage.”
If he reaches Mecca, he performs the Tawaf of the coming and seeks to perform Hajj if he wants,
otherwise he delays it until after the pilgrimage, like the comparator, and continues his Ihram until the day of Eid comes.
And the actions of the singular and the qiran are the same, except that the qarin has to offer the sacrifice because the rituals are obtained for him,
unlike the singular one, he does not have to sacrifice, because only one ritual pilgrimage was obtained for him, which is the Hajj.
Oh, Allah! Allow me to visit Your Holy Ka’bah and Accept me as Your servant and grant me with Jannah.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
