Why we make Duaa?
When the ways of life narrow you down and you feel as if the world has closed its doors in your face,
make sure that there is no refuge for you except to make Duaa and to go to the owner of the affairs of the universe.
It is from His mercy, Glory be to Him, that He has created supplication (Duaa) for us to be safe.
When You ask Him with all hope and failure, hoping for a response and investigation.
It gives us better than we ever wished for, and the virtues of supplication can never be limited to Muslims, for supplication is the weapon of the pious believer,
and the hope of the sinner for forgiveness.
The meaning of Duaa:
The supplication means that the servants turn to God Almighty and show him the reality of poverty and need for Him,
abandoning all manifestations of strength and power, and sensing human defeat and humiliation before the Lord of mankind.
It also comes with the purpose of praising the servant and thanking him for his generosity and his presence on him with many blessings.
The meaning of supplication according to Tafseer scholars:
The supplication in Islam came in many ways, according to the consensus of the scholars of Tafseer, and from them:
- Worshiping God Almighty by His saying in Surat Al-An’am:
Say: “Shall we call others not Allah,- things which will do us neither good nor harm” - Acknowledging the oneness of God and saying that, and this came in Surat Al-A’raf:
their saying will be: “Glory to You, O Allah.” And “Peace” will be their greeting! and the end of their saying will be:
“Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!” - Seeking the help of God Almighty in Surah Yunus:
and call upon whom you said they will help You, if what you say is true!’
Duaa in Islam:
God Almighty commanded us to pray, and he approved it for Muslims as one of the easy acts of worship for the servant,
and beloved to the Lord of the worlds, because of his great favor on man in achieving many benefits by meeting
different human needs, and fulfilling his needs in times of ease and crises.
And he is also of great merit in Repel anguish, worry and calamity from Muslims, for it is the best medicine for the soul by which souls are saved from all evil
The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, commanded us to turn to the Lord SWT with supplication
because it is the best of worship and obedience that a believer may seek refuge in with his Islam and his life,
and it is the only worship that continues with the life and death of a Muslim through his children,
As the Prophet PBUH said, “Or a righteous son who makes Duaa for him”.
